Hostel
Casa del Sol is located on the main road of Santa Teresa within walking distance to the beach, surf, dining, and shopping. Guests have the option to book the hostel or a private room accommodation. Each room includes a private bathroom, A/C, hot water, and high speed internet. The property features a fully equipped community kitchen along with outdoor seating areas to eat, relax, and socialize.
We are happy to assist guests with planning activities in the area including surf lessons or trips, ATV rentals, horseback riding, visits to nearby waterfalls, canopy tours, snorkeling and fishing. We can also provide recommendations for local restaurants and surf breaks to enjoy during your stay.

Santa Teresa is well known for surf, nature, and the pura vida way of life. Year round waves makes a paradise for surfers with all levels of experience. The yoga community in town is great too. You can see and hear howling monkeys daily along with other local wildlife. Guests can enjoy waterfall hikes and canopy tours in Montezuma or snorkeling at Playa Tambor. The town boasts an amazing food scene with a variety of cuisines to start your night before the party starts!

Casa del Sol was established in 2021 by three partners who had the vision of bringing good quality hostel accommodations at reasonable rates, after working in the hospitality industry for many years. The atmosphere of Casa del Sol is chill and laid back. We like to enjoy the beach vibes and the nature that surrounds us!
Food
Security and safety
Casa del Sol counts with security guards at night and also a survelliance camera system through the whole property. Safety is our number one whole so people can come and enjoy their staying without worrying something can happened. We conduct periodical inspection of our extinguishers through out the property. We clean and sanitize the whole property everyday to maintain the property clean and safe for our visitors.

There are various options for arriving to Casa del Sol. Although Costa Rica is a small country, it can take longer than expected to travel from one place to another so we recommend that you always be mindful of travel times. There are two international airports in Costa Rica– San José (SJO) and Liberia (LIR). There are more direct transport options from San José (SJO).
Renting a car:
Currently, both Budget and Alamo Rental car services have offices in Santa Teresa if you choose to drop off here in Santa Teresa.
It is faster/easier to drive from Liberia (LIR) to Santa Teresa. You will take the road to Santa Cruz-Nicoya-Jic
